REJUVENATION
today has become about a rejuvenation. my self awareness developed even further as i sat within those classes. looking forward to a prosperous future through creation and activity. putting myself in the work space drives my mind awake. questions my intent upon creation and furthers my interest in the world i take part in. my living must take place somewhere upon this earth. there is purpose for paths leading down each road. again this brings me back to… Read the rest

Post a Story
It's hard (what with all the inundations: looking around on the internet, watching tv, reading magazines) to find an image of what exactly is healthy.
There is this image of Healthy Holly-wooders and Gym Jennies: women in control, a woman who loves and is loved in a perfectly perfect way.
Then there are the Low-Class Lindas who eat whatever they want and refuse to let anything dictate their lives. These Poor Pollies might appear in our minds as older, complacent, boring…not the exciting Model Minny who runs around constantly, receiving… Read the rest
The sound of a remote but familiar voice brought an expert in image to a country desperate to rebuild its own. Nigel Barker, one of the worlds most renowned photographers, knew the unmistakable tone of Julia Salvi’s words. Then again, long before they belonged to the creator of one of the most important music festivals to date, they belonged to “Mrs. Salvi”, the mother of one of Nigel’s close childhood friends.
Today, Nigel Barker is much more than the main reason why women all over the world, myself included,… Read the rest
2011 was quite a year but as with every new year we have a chance for new beginnings, to finish things we have been working on and the chance to wake up and smell the roses!
2011 took me all over the world – Russia, Finland, Greece, China, Malaysia, The Philippines, Turkey, Italy, Haiti and all over the USA of course. Several of my trips namely the ones to Italy, Turkey for the USO and my recent trip to Haiti were eye openers for several reasons but most markedly because… Read the rest
Hey Fashionistas!
A while back I told you that I had the opportunity to meet Philly’s Hot 107.9, radio personality Kendra G. at her book signing for her first title, “Abstinence is Kool”. Well, I had the opportunity to complete the book and there is a lot to be said about her mission to help young women understand that they should accept the challenge of being abstinent for the entire school year, and I totally support it!
There are a lot of people that I spoke with about the book… Read the rest
When I look at Antoinette D’Asaro, my absolutely beautiful grandmother, I often see myself…and that makes me smile. It sort of helps me to see what I will look like when I’m her age. And to look like her, would be a gift!
My Grandmother, Antoinette D’Asaro, is 94 years young. I say young because she is still spunky, eager and hungry for life as if she were still a teenager. Although she’s definitely getting ‘up there’ in age, she is one of the first people I call when I… Read the rest
I have been keeping this blog ever since I was diagnosed with my second cancer. At age 13 I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, Bone Cancer, in my right arm. Seven years later, early this summer, I was diagnosed with a high-grade Glioma Brain Tumor. All summer I battled for my life, a second time. It was essential for me to release my thoughts. By keeping a blog I was able to stay focused on getting through a a serious life threatening illness for a second time. The blog is accessable… Read the rest

Interested in the lines between human conscious and subconscious thought, I rely heavily on my instincts to produce work. By tapping into the various states of being, experience and perception, I aim to capture the ephemeral facets of human life. Often working… Read the rest
First, allow me to make a confession: My morning routine takes far longer than what I’d prefer.
But this is only because over the years I have fried my hair to the point of no return (which means it takes longer to do), can’t leave my bathroom without thoroughly cleaning it up, prefer to read while I eat breakfast and cut my own hair in the mornings quite regularly.
Here’s my first piece of advice for a faster morning routine: Don’t do those things.
Now, when it comes to mornings… Read the rest
