Just this morning off the coast of Newfoundland, I witnessed baby seals clubbed, shot, and skinned, and it broke my heart. There was nothing — not one thing — I could do to stop it.
These baby seals on the ice today never had a chance. They’re threatened at every turn — even their ice habitat is melting out from under them.
Still, the Canadian government has authorized sealers to slaughter up to 400,000 survivors this year — all for their fur in the name of “fashion.”

Take a good look at this little chap, he is dying from Aids. He doesn’t ‘do’ drugs and he is far too young to be sexually active, neither has he had a contaminated blood transfusion. There are so many things going on in the world that are just plain evil. At long last we are beginning to see the light at the end of what has been a very long and dark tunnel. There is more and more talk of the Annual Seal Hunt going the way of the whaling industry that once thrived in Canada, and for good reason. I am holding a charity auction to raise funds for Tommy’s but also to raise awareness of miscarriages. Having suffered 5 myself, I realized this is a taboo subject – almost like something to be ashamed of! However 1 in 4 women suffer a miscarriage, some suffering multiple!
