BE One
Welcome to BE One, The Beauty Equation members’ forum where you are invited to ask questions, post your opinions and share your personal stories on the world of beauty. Beauty, as we discuss in the book, manifests itself in a multitude of shapes, styles and attitudes. The intention with BE One, is to start a global discussion broadening our horizons, expectations and dreams about beauty. BE One is designed to be a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional forum, spearheaded by BE Contributors (hand picked by me and my BE Team) to investigate and report upon the ever-changing notion of beauty. Whether it be their own articles and posts, or sites they come across that support the ideals of the book, our contributors are here to build upon the Beauty Equation and give you the information and resources you need to polish your own. Each BE Contributor’s profile can be viewed on the homepage, and you can read their posts by selecting their associated tag. We are looking for new contributors all the time, so please come join the conversation and upload your stories, videos and photos.

BE Giving
Be Giving is the destination specifically designed for the inner philanthropist that lives in all of us. Extending from your chapter, Model Citizen, where compassion calls for you to take action in the world around you, BE Giving aims to provide you with the references and resources needed to get us all more involved! Whether it be with one of the major organizations I currently work with, like The Humane Society of The United States, or your own, personal initiative, I want to hear what you are doing to make the world a better place. Post your efforts, photos, videos and links, and inspire the entire BE world to participate, volunteer and advocate whenever and wherever possible. I truly believe that through our ability to be considerate, caring and humane, we not only help make the world a more beautiful place, but we also gain the modest, humble confidence that doing the right thing instills. So please, share your ideas, issues and concerns, and together we will stand to make the world a more beautiful place one post at a time.

Dr. Photo
Dr. Photo – Okay, so I have an alter ego! Dr. Photo’s sole purpose is to prescribe the tips you need to better your photography. This is the forum to ask me anything and everything about photography – the why, the how and the what you need to know to get the perfect shot. Whether it be through my own posts and articles detailing technique, technology and tricks of the trade, or through specifically answering your questions and concerns on completing many of the book’s photo and video challenges, I will do my best to fix your photography ailments and have you back to picture perfect in a flash. In addition, each week I’ll be flipping through your Beauty Equation portfolios to select my personal favorites to display on the site. Comment, share and upload your own photos and videos to add to the conversation. If you are a real shutterbug, check out Dr. Photo in your book, where I break down my personal know-how camera-by-camera and give you insider tips on depth of field, aperture, lighting and white balance. Lastly, I’m always looking for other experts in the field of photography to inspire and reveal the art through self-expressionism. So please, share your own tips and technique to keep the camera’s clicking. Remember, the camera never lies… we just don’t always know how to take good pictures…..
